Initiatives

Based on overwhelming community interest, Methow Trails is currently scoping and seeking support for a new trail connecting Twisp, Winthrop and the school. As our valley grows, a safe non-motorized route between our towns is a priority. Our community needs a safe, bikeable route to the schools and to town. We have the bandwidth and experience to take this project on, but we will need the support of our community to make it happen!

After 43 years, we are building a new base of operations in Winthrop! The 18 acre property was purchased with proceeds from our trail passes and with support from the Methow Investment Network. We envision a community hub that will centralize our operations, including office and meeting space, equipment storage and maintenance facility, trailhead and parking area, and more!
