Methow Trails "Trails for Life " Endowment & Planned Gifts
Since 1977, the Methow Trails has focused on developing the largest cross country ski trail system in the nation, and a varied and scenic year round trail system. Our community trails are the result of hardworking citizens, visionary leaders, and generous landowners. Now it is our responsibility to maintain and ensure these trails remain for life.
Thanks to a very generous $50,000 award from the Community Foundation of North Central Washington, Methow Trails established an endowment in the fall of 2012. Recently, David “Red” McComb left MVSTA a gift of $100,000 that we chose to add to our endowment bringing the total to $155,100. These funds are restricted yet as they grow through your generous contributions, Methow Trails will plan for a consistent return annually that will directly benefit the trails…… for life.
If you care about trails in the Methow Valley, and you want to leave a lasting legacy for generations of trail users, consider a planned gift to our endowment or other trail funds. The proceeds of your planned gift will go directly towards maintaining and improving the quality of the trail experience.
If you are considering a planned gift with Methow Trails, we look forward to discussing your intentions directly so that we can best match your gift with our trail needs. If you decide to include Methow Trails in your estate plans please complete our Notification Form and send it to us. We also encourage all our supporters to work directly with a personal financial advisor when making significant philanthropic decisions.
We thank you for considering a planned gift to Methow Trails. Your gift will sustain the trails that you have come to know and love and will continue to inspire our community and generations of others to do the same. Your planned gift is a powerful statement of the value you place in the Methow Valley community and in the trails that sustain it.
